60 tubes working!

Yes, I finally have all sixty tubes mounted and working. I still need to swap out two or three of the under-performing motors, and calibrate all motors, and do a lot of cosmetic finishing work (cover pieces for the top and bottom), and some software tweaks….but it’s finished enough to actually work!

    • This is an art commission, and will be used as a display piece. Including prototype/development parts cost, but NOT including my time, just under $3,000. I believe I could make a 2nd one for $2,100 worth of parts (now that I know exactly what to order), not counting the several hundred dollars for glycerin display medium to replace the water . My time commitment was quite large….but I think I could assemble a second one in around 50-60 hours of work now that I know what not to do. (of course, I’m not 100% complete with this one…so that time estimate could be a bit off…)
