Although they stack well, it makes getting things out of the bottom of the stack unnecessarily complicated, and it also takes a lot of time to move the stack. I put a furniture moving dolly under the stack, which made it extra unsteady.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stack_on_furnature_dolly.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stack_on_furnature_dolly-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stack_on_furnature_dolly-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/stack_on_furnature_dolly-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So I built this rolling organizer that lets me access any crate, move the stack around, and has some extra pegboard for hanging items. The final height rolls just under standard height garage doors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/mcr_finished.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4384\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/mcr_finished-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/mcr_finished-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/mcr_finished-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The frame consists of squares of 15\/32nd plywood, and a lot of 2&#215;2&#8217;s cut to the exact same length using an endstop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2x2s_cut-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4386\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2x2s_cut-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/plywood_cut.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4387\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/plywood_cut-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You could assemble the whole tower very quickly if you used pin nails to hold things together while the glue was drying, but I just took my time doing one layer at a time with clamps.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/frame_almost_done.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4388\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/frame_almost_done-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/frame_almost_done-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/frame_almost_done-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because only one of the four wheel mounting holes was over the 2&#215;2&#8217;s, I augmented the \u00a0 single deck screw with gorilla glue to mount these harbor freight locking casters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4390\" src=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.summet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/casters-1-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I cut the squares of pegboard after I built the frame so that I could set my table saw fence just right for a friction fit vertically. I made a few test cuts smaller and smaller until my first \u00a0 piece fit exactly. In addition to providing places to hang miscellaneous items, the \u00a0 pegboard acts as sheathing to add rigidity to the tower.
