T-Mobile Fiber Internet uses carrier grade NAT by default, which means that you can’t do port forwarding or accept incoming TCP/IP or UDP connections. Their tier 2 support claims that you get a “public” IP address…..but in fact you have to pay $10 a month for a “static” IP address to get an actual public IP that can accept incoming connections.
Just something to keep in mind if you are thinking about switching from Spectrum Internet, which gives you a public IP (not guaranteed to never change, but rarely changes, so not technically static) that can be used to accept incoming connections as part of their base package.
